Literature Text
There's a lot of things I really hate about you.
I hate that you can make me laugh,
Even though I need to cry.
I hate that you undertsand me,
Because that means my walls are going down.
I hate that you talk to me,
And then walk away.
I hate that you touch me,
And pretend that's okay.
I hate how you smile,
Because it's shy, and your not.
I hate that your smile's lopsided,
Because mine is too.
I hate your hazel eyes,
Because their goddamn pretty.
I hate your slim frame,
Because I'm not
And I think that may be a problem.
I hate that everything I hate about you
Is everything I love about you.
I hate that I can't write about you,
Because everything's cliche
And been said before,
So how am I supposed to get your attention
With my award-winning originality
When I don't even know how.
Most of all, I hate that girl your talking to because her name isnt mine.
I hate that you can make me laugh,
Even though I need to cry.
I hate that you undertsand me,

Unlock My Name
My life lasts a few seconds you see
Watch me grow strong and free
I'm born with a single touch; don't take your eyes off me
Soon you'll see me whither and flee
To some I am a sign of beauty
To some a moment of glee
I don't make a sound, no not a peep
Try to unlock my name, I'll grant you no key
Literature
never trust a writer
It's best to stay far away from us writers. We're double-agents, and can't be trusted.
You see, we just have this terrible privilege of not being able to tell the difference between reality and fiction. We sometimes forget that the emotions in our head might not run with as much passion as they really do, and then we get disappointed in things that make normal people happy. We're afraid to get close to people, and yet all we do is yearn for human contact. That's why we write about it, and that's why we lose touch on what it really feels like to be in a relationship.
Writers often find that we don't fully comprehend the world around us, and,

One-Word Supernova
This "hello" is infinity unraveling,
a star falling,
a sun coming to life.
It's movement.
It's a breath drawn between two surprised lips.
It's staccato,
the quick crackle of a match catching on sandpaper.
Flight has nothing on those
lush syllables -
they soar higher
than the playground of angels
and we cannot help but follow.
Sunstruck,
lightbright,
the word glimmers between us -
clear and iridescent,
a soap bubble caught in the air.
I reach.
You touch.
And -
a star falling,
a sun coming to life -
hope bursts open inside
our slumbering hearts.
"Hello," you said.
The word rests breathlessly
along the curve of my

Um... this poem described me uncannily. That's a little eerie.
Anyway: been there, done that (still doing that...). I'm sorry you're feeling this way about someone. <3 If you need someone to talk to, I'm here! It's a beautiful poem, and I love how well you portrayed the feelings that go along with these words.
