Literature Text
Our love is like an eighteenth century dance,
Old and out of step.
(Not to say I don't love dancing out of beat
And pretending no one's watching.)
Our love is like a pocketwatch,
Outdated and out of time.
(But I like to race the clock,
And being late is just like being on time.)
So our love is like old times
Good and looked over
Because pocketwatches are still in style
But only for the older.
So here's to love and old-fashion
Because here's to love and a great Forever-After.
Old and out of step.
(Not to say I don't love dancing out of beat
And pretending no one's watching.)
Our love is like a pocketwatch,
Outdated and out of time.
(But I like to race the clock,
And being late is just like being on time.)
So our love is like old times
Good and looked over
Because pocketwatches are still in style
But only for the older.
So here's to love and old-fashion
Because here's to love and a great Forever-After.
Literature
Time
It resonated all over me,
and drowned me in memories.
Thought about what used to be,
Back when everyone was at ease.
I think back long and hard
Filled my mind with the past
I realize, that we've gone far
It seems time goes by way too fast...
Literature
Unlock My Name
My life lasts a few seconds you see
Watch me grow strong and free
I'm born with a single touch; don't take your eyes off me
Soon you'll see me whither and flee
To some I am a sign of beauty
To some a moment of glee
I don't make a sound, no not a peep
Try to unlock my name, I'll grant you no key
Literature
Like Tomorrow Will Never Come
We're still young,
with s i n g s o n g children's voices in our throats,
and beautiful muddy footprints in our hearts.
We're still beautiful,
with lopsided smiles,
and laughs that make the sun's heart ache.
So grab my hand,
and I'll show you the sunshine,
hidden under bluebell wings,
and butterfly petals.
We'll run in circles,
just to make my dress twirl,
and our lungs burn
(in the good kind of way.)
We'll jump in the rain,
with laughter pealing
like thunderclaps,
trying to outscream the storm.
We'll camp under the stars,
with only the velvet black canopy as our tent,
counting the stars,
and naming each one after

Not very well written but it's from the heart. Something may be outdated but that doesn't mean it doesn't work.

I liked the first strophe a lot, when the words were just an allusion to the pocketwatch, an unmentioned metaphor. I felt like the actual introduction of the item was a bit obvious, after a super original opening.
